Agreement to these terms

This website is operated by SellMyCard ("we", "us", "our"), a gift card exchange run from Bangalore, India. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of this website, the submission form and any payout made to you.

By submitting a gift card, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What SellMyCard does

We buy gift cards from individuals. You submit a card through the selling page; we verify the remaining balance; we send you a quote of 80% of that verified balance; if you accept, we send the money to the UPI ID you provided.

We are a resale platform, not a bank, wallet or payment institution. We do not store value, issue cards, or hold money on your behalf — a payout is a one-time transfer for a card you have sold to us.

Eligibility

You may use SellMyCard only if all of the following are true:

• You are 18 years of age or older.
• You are resident in India and transact in Indian Rupees.
• The UPI ID you provide belongs to a bank account held in your own name.
• You are acting for yourself, not on behalf of an unidentified third party.

Your cards and your promises

Every submission you make is a set of warranties. By submitting a card you state that:

• You are the lawful owner of the card and acquired it legitimately — as a gift, a reward, or with your own funds.
• The card is not stolen, not linked to any fraud, and not the subject of a chargeback, dispute or refund claim.
• The card number and PIN you entered are accurate and have not been redeemed.
• Selling the card does not breach any agreement you have with the card's issuer.

If any of these turn out to be false, we may reverse a payout and pursue recovery of the amount paid.

Verification and quotes

We check each card before quoting it. Verification may be automated or handled by a person, and can take up to 12 hours for cards that need manual review. The balance we verify — not the denomination printed on the card — is the basis of your quote.

Quotes are valid for a limited window, because card balances change. You accept the quote through the confirmation we send; until you accept, nothing is owed by either side. We may decline any submission, in whole or in part, without giving a reason.

The 20% service charge

Our charge is a flat 20% of the verified balance, so you receive 80%. It is one charge, applied before you see your quote — there is no processing fee, settlement fee or deduction added afterwards.

Amounts are rounded to the nearest rupee. If a brand's currency is not INR, we convert it at the reference rate used on the day of verification, then apply the 20% charge.

Payouts

Payouts are sent by UPI to the ID you entered on the selling page. We do not ask for an account number or IFSC, and we cannot redirect a payout to an account you nominate later.

• You are responsible for entering a correct, active UPI ID. A payout sent to a mistyped ID cannot always be recovered.
• Most payouts complete within minutes of acceptance; in any case within one banking day.
• If a payout fails or is reversed by your bank, we will retry once and then contact you on the phone number you gave us.

Rejected submissions

We will not pay for a card that turns out to be expired, already fully redeemed, reported lost or stolen, fraudulent, unsupported by us, or blocked by the issuer. If verification returns a zero balance, the submission is closed and nothing is charged to you.

If we have already paid you and the card is later found to be invalid, you must return the amount within three (3) business days of our request. We may offset that amount against any future payout owed to you.

Prohibited use

You must not do any of the following:

• Submit a card you do not own, or one obtained through theft, fraud or unauthorised use of another person's payment method.
• Use another person's phone number or UPI ID, or disguise the origin of funds.
• Use automated tools to submit cards at scale, or to probe, scrape or overload the website.
• Interfere with the site's security, or attempt to reverse engineer anything other than the public page source.
• Use SellMyCard for any unlawful purpose or to launder money.

Breaking these rules ends your access immediately and may be reported to the relevant bank, issuer or authority.

Relationship with brands

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of Amazon, Flipkart, Google, Apple, Steam, Myntra, Airbnb or any other brand named on this site. Those names identify the cards we buy; all trademarks belong to their respective owners. Brand-specific rules and expiry conditions still apply to the cards themselves.

Disclaimers and liability

The website and the service are provided "as is". We do not guarantee that verification will be available at all times, that a quote will be offered, or that the site will be free of errors.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount we paid you for the transaction in question, or ₹1,000, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, nor for loss caused by a wrong UPI ID you supplied.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute that is not resolved through our support channel within 30 days will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bangalore, India.

If a part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a clause is not a waiver of it.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as the service changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it last happened; material changes will also be announced on the site. Continuing to submit cards after that means you accept the updated Terms.
